The display of system errors is suppressed in the production environment.

Each website is mirrored on the developer's PC where errors are displayed, debugged, and easily corrected.

In the event system errors occur, errors are recorded in a MySQL™ database table for future review. Diagnostic information including the page ID number and time stamp are recorded for debugging purposes. If the MySQL™ database is unavailable, error are logged to a text file.

System errors are categorized when saved. The website administrator is provided with a report which facilitates sorting errors by category, and purging errors from the log after the source of the error has been determined and corrected.

During development of complex applications, the system log can be used to track the execution of applications without interfering with website performance.

Messages sent to the site owner using the Contact form are also recorded in the System Log. Such messages are typically copied to the webmaster, for quality control purposes.
