Every night, this CMS will automatically generate a new time sensitive XML sitemap which is used by Google and other search engine robots to properly index content residing in the primary database table.

The XML Sitemap Example demonstrates that the appropriate time stamp is extracted from the main database table when the sitemap is updated. Both Change Frequency and Priority are configurable on a per page basis although the default settings are appropriate for most pages.

A hidden META tag placed in the header of the Home page enables search engine robots to locate the XML sitemap.

If necessary, additional sitemaps can be configured for PDF files and static HTML pages.

Database fields for each page in this CMS include spider, priority, change frequency, and time stamp fields used when the Google Sitemap is created. Pages can be excluded from the Google Sitemap, or the priority and change frequency adjusted. The time stamp is automatic, based on the date and time the page was last updated.

The CMS administrator will have access to a Google Site Map Generator which can be used for additional purposes which include generating links for use at aboutus.org.
